March 19, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce LSA Pro as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Spring Season.

Based in Gainesville (Ga.), LSA Pro plays in the UPSL Southeast Conference and hosts its UPSL home games at 2,500-seat Allen Creek Soccer Complex stadium (2500 Allen Creek Rd. Gainesville, GA 30507) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

LSA Pro welcomes FC Cardinals into Allen Creek Soccer Complex stadium on Saturday, March 23, 2019. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Admission and parking are free.

United Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference Manager Andy Salandy said, "We are pleased to welcome LSA Pro to the United Premier Soccer League. Lanier Soccer Association is one of the biggest soccer programs in northern Georgia, and LSA Pro seems like a natural progression for the club. Raul Menjivar is a strong front office presence for the club, and we wish them luck as we're excited to see what their first season brings."

LSA Pro is the top tier of Gainesville (Ga.)'s Lanier Soccer Association, a U9-U18 academy and recreational soccer program operating for more than 1,500 boys and girls youth players.

Raul Menjivar is the Owner and General Manager of LSA Pro. Menjivar, 31, was a LSA youth player and was a four-time all-district selection in Georgia, including his senior season at Gainesville (Ga.) High School. He joined the United States Navy and served his six-year contract before exiting a 2nd Class Petty Officer. He currently is Lanier Soccer Association's academy coach for Boys 2007 and 2008 teams.

LSA Pro Owner and General Manager Raul Menjivar said, "Out of all the leagues the UPSL gives us the greatest opportunity. The travel is reasonable and it gives the club an opportunity to play competitively. There are a lot of good players around here and that's the idea behind what we're going. The guys have the talent and maybe not everybody went to college so that's an option we're providing, and it's for the guys that do go to college or university that come back and want to play. This will become a pathway to professional development for a lot of players."

Joao Garcia serves as Head Coach of LSA Pro. Garcia previously coached at Miami (Fla.)'s Barry College and in the UPSL with Miami Dade.

The club opened its inaugural UPSL Southeast Conference Mid-Atlantic South Division B campaign with a 1-0 loss to Lowcountry United FC on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
